Jimmy

Hi there! I am Jimmy and I was born and raised in the heartland, Columbus Ohio! My upbringing seems to be a long series of slow events that lead me to desire to study Nutrition and community health at the world famous, THE Ohio State University. I was grateful enough to be studying Nutriton and Community health at the same hospital my father was receiving care for a terminal disease. It was an incredible time of growth and change that further stirred my passion for not only Nutrition, but every area of wellness in our lives.

I started working with private nutrition clients quickly after graduating and was planning to continue my education and get further advanced degrees. Quickly after starting this process, it was not the right time for me to continue my education, especially in hospital settings which was the program I was applying for. After everything I have studied and witnessed first hand with my family, I wanted to help people well before they needed to see a specialist like that! Shortly after making this decision, I moved to California and pursed a fun and rewarding job at Disneyland! It was much need time for my education and emotions to settle and I got to hang out with some pretty cool characters.

I loved working at Disneyland so much; I wanted to be a lifer! A few years into leadership at Disney, I started teaching Nutrition classes for the other Cast Members, including my superiors. It refueled my passion for wellness and before you know it, I was hanging up the "ears" at Disney and jumping back into the wellness world! I bounced around a few different wellness companies, before starting to work with dogs.

I started working in Dog Behavior in 2019 and haven't stopped working with animals since. After a few years working in animal behavior, my own personal dog's seasonal allergies brought on quite a new challenge in a new climate after a move. After trying all the methods suggested from every local store (including getting a job at our local pet store), going to the vet for so many little things that just wouldn't go away, I just couldn't figure it out! I decided to dive into animal nutrition on my own and figure out what I was missing. Not only did the allergies go away, but so many more aspects of their health and behavior improved. Seeing my dogs transform from adjustments in their nutrition first-hand has motivated me to continue working with animals to help wherever I am able to. I continue to work in the pet food industry and am continually learning and growing. I hope I can help you and your pet be happier and healthier together!
